In That Chair
What if Jesus is in that chair And we just pass Him by? What if all we do is stare And He does not know why?
What if when we see Him there We think that He is "odd"? What if Jesus fits no mold That we would make for God?
What if in our “busy”-ness We fail to stop and smile? How could our own needs be met By going the extra mile?
Might we be uncomfortable In helping one of these? Might we glimpse the face of God While bending to our knees?
What if our own fear of them Who different from the rest Keeps us from God’s true calling, Denies us of His best?
What if Jesus waits in that chair And we just pass him by? God help us to reach out and care Help me to only try.
